Im looking for a pillow to improve my sleep and the reduce the neck pain i sometimes feel when i wake up. I’ve read a lot of articles that claim “clinical pillows” are the answer for this, but most of them are 200$ i can’t really afford that since im a college student. there are some cheaper ones, but im not sure they will surve same purpose.
SO i hope that some one can help me find one for under 50$ ththat’sctually designed for the afore mentioned purpose. Thanks alot.
Four days ago I woke up in severe pain, and couldn’t move my head both the right and the left. I had to stay home from school (which is a rare event maybe 2-3 times a year) because the pain was so intese. My mom thought that the pain would go away after one night. All day I was using a heating pad on my neck and trying to stretch out my neck. By the end of the day I could move my head all the way to the right but still no where on the left. The next morning I woke up and nothing had changed so I had to miss soccer, but I went to school. The next morning I woke up and the pain was almost gone I thought it was on the way to recovery and soon be back to normal, so I went to school and soccer and had no pain at all. The next morning (today) I woke up and I couldn’t move my neck to the left again, it was so painful putting on clothes. I had to miss my first official soccer game of the year and it was really depressing. Throughout the day it got worse and worse and now I can’t even bare it. My neck is tilted to the side, and the left side of my neck is larger then my right side, if I try to move my neck to the left it feels like the brain is being pulled on and that I’m going to rip my shoulder and neck.
Please if you know any ways to help fix my neck. (other then seeing a specialist.) Maybe some neck excercies or stretches. Thanks for your help.
P.S. I am only in high school. al I have a very flat pillow, but I have always slept on flat pillows and nothing has ever happened like this before. Sure i’ve had pains but nothing like this. My parents and I are going shopping for a better pillow, but I’m not sure if that’s what gave me the pain. Was it stress at school, or the soccer?
Also, it looks almost swollen, and it is warm in the area.
My baby is 4 months old and he has a very flat head developed from sleeping on the back too much. Since sleeping on the back is the recommended position to avoid SIDS, I am not sure it is good to let him sleep on the sides. Anyone knows would a head support pillow helped to correct the flat head? If yes, any particular pillow you can recommend? Thanks!
